![]() ![]() I downloaded and tried NCSExpert 3.1.0 but I got the same error with that as well.Īlso I tried downloading an E39 V41 daten file and replaced 3 of the folders in the NCSEXPER directory as suggested in various forum posts (elsewhere?) and that didn't make any difference either. ![]() Everything seems to work as normal on the car.ĭo you think the NCS Expert sw install is missing some necessary E39 specific files? Or do you think I may have inadvertently overwritten one or more files on the laptop in the NCSEXPER folder? If I did overwrite anything, it would have been with the ZCS that I'd loaded into NCS Expert. I did try using the software before I quite knew what I was doing, just to have a look around - and I vaguely recall being able to load the ZCS then, but couldn't say for sure. The software came with the cable that I purchased - running it on an old Windows XP Professional Acer laptop (running. EWS & KWB) - got a 'VIN is faulty' error (I think from memory). A few times when I tried it again, I got to choose a module to upload the ZCS from but none of them worked (e.g. OFFEN) and then press F1, then F3, select E39, and then I get the error. I am getting a 'Chassis is faulty' error appearing. I have been trying to get to grips with NCS Expert lately on my 2001 E39. ![]()
